The Subject Leader is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of curriculum content, instruction, and assessment within their assigned subject area at Teneo. This role requires a deep understanding of the subject matter, contemporary pedagogical practices, and the unique challenges and opportunities presented by online education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and regular updating of the curriculum for the subject.

• Ensure the curriculum aligns with curriculum standards, as well as the vision and goals of the school.

• Collaborate with teachers to develop engaging online resources, lessons, and activities.

• Provide guidance, support, and feedback to teachers within the subject area.

• Monitor the delivery of lessons to ensure consistent quality and adherence to the curriculum.

• Analyse student performance data to identify areas for improvement in both instruction and curriculum.

• Collaborate with other leaders and teachers to implement strategies that support student achievement.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, students, and other stakeholders for issues or questions related to the subject.

• Participate in regular meetings with school leadership to report on curriculum and instructional progress and challenges.

• Stay informed about current research, trends, and developments in the subject area and online education.

• Participate in external workshops, conferences, and professional networks to further enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area

• Teaching certification in the subject area.

• Experience teaching in online or blended learning environments.

• Proven track record in curriculum development and instructional leadership.

• Strong technology skills, especially related to online education tools and platforms.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
